Michael Bergeron is the Assistant Director of Banquets at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin. Michael began his career in the hospitality industry in 1999 while attending the University of New Orleans> It is there where he received his degree for Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management while studying at the historic Arnaud's Restaurant located in the heart of the French Quarter.
In 2003 Michael began his hotel career by joining the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans in food and beverage operations until Hurricane Katrina struck in 2005. Michael then transitioned to the Ritz-Carlton South Beach and was part of the opening team of the Shula's Steak House at the JW Marriott
Michael then returned to his hometown of New Orleans and joined the reopening team at the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans, in various food and beverage roles. He also gained experience in the Meetings and Special Events department. Michael then joined the Starwood brand at the Sheraton New Orleans in banquet operations. Prior to joining the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, he was the Director of Banquets at the Roosevelt Hotel New Orleans.
